Schuhmacher Ranch is located in Northwest Nebraska between the beautiful Pine Ridge and the Black Hills of South Dakota

Thomas A. and Fern Schuhmacher established the ranch in 1927. They made their home along the White River west of Chadron. Our children are the fourth generation on the ranch. The ranch consists of 21,000+ deeded acres. All owned and operated by the Schuhmacher Family. Parts of the ranch are adjacent to the Oglala National Grasslands and within minutes of the Nebraska National Forest. We are also located within a half-hour of the Historic Fort Robinson, Hudson-Meng Kill Sight, Toadstool National Park, Soldier Creek Wilderness Area and other Historical Sights.
